Mrs. Susan Bailey, age 74, of Hope, Arkansas, passed away Tuesday, August 30, 2022, in Mabelvale, Arkansas.

Susan was born on May 24, 1948 to James Tony Cobb and Louella Cobb.  She is survived be her son, Phillip Raymond Bailey, a diesel mechanic in Little Rock, AR, and his family Misty Green, Alyssa Padgett, and Abby Green.  Her grandson, Zerick Bailey and granddaughter, Skyler Bailey. Susan is also survived by her sister, Linda Cobb Lee of Hope, AR, and her daughter, Dawn Garner, and her family Eric Garner, and granddaughter, Anna Miller; two nieces Kristie Cobb and Amy French; a great niece AnElizabeth Henry; and a sister-in-law Ruth Ann Cobb.

She is preceded in death by her parents, and a brother, Paul Edward Cobb.

Susan was a retired high school teacher and Student Council advisor.  She was nominated Teacher of the Year in 1985. Susan enjoyed fishing, camping, and having a good cup of coffee.  She was an active member of the First United Methodist Church and enjoyed baking goodies for friends and family.  She was currently serving as First United Methodist of Hope Lay Leader.  When asked, Susan was always willing to serve.

Visitation will be 5:00pm to 7:00pm on Thursday September 1, 2022, at BRAZZEL/Oakcrest 1001 South Main 71801.
