Thomas Edward Burke, 87 of Hope, Arkansas, went to his heavenly home on January 29, 2025. He was born on August 4, 1937, to Roy and Lilly Mae Burke.

He loved his Savior, Jesus Christ, his wife and family and his church, White Oak Gove MBC, Deann, AR where he was a member for nearly fifty years and song leader for over 25 years. Of all of his accomplishments in this life, he was most proud of his family, having helped build two of the Lord's churches, his Union Pacific railroad career of 43 years, raising cattle in Deann, AR, and showing five gated horses, having won two state championships.

He is survived by his son Tommy Burke and his wife Tess Boone-Burke, of Hope, AR, grandchildren, Logan (Rachael) Boone of Queen City, TX and their children, Tallen, Payton, and Jerrison, Nolan (Ashley) Boone of Texarkana, AR, Elise (William) Simmons of Sumter, SC, and their daughter Juniper, and his sister Kaye Miller of Houston, TX.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Lilly Mae Burke of Hope, AR, his sister Bobby Faye (Herbert) Willis of Houston, TX, and his beloved wife of 63 years, Patsy Ann Burke.

In lieu of flowers, the family wishes for memorials to be made to the White Oak Grove MBC building fund.

Funeral services will be on Monday afternoon at 2:00 PM with visitation at 1:00 pm, White Oak Grove MBC, with Bro John Nations officiating, and interment at White Oak Grove Cemetery.
