Thomas Harvey Matchett, 93, of Hope Arkansas left to be with the Lord Friday, February 24th 2023.  Tom was born on August 30th, 1929 in Wichita Falls, Texas. He was a private in the Army specializing in marksmanship.  He married the love of his life Wilma in 1948, and enjoyed 70 years on this Earth together.  He worked for DOW Chemical company before moving to Hope, Arkansas to work for General Farms egg plant until retirement.  Tom was a brilliant man, a loving and devoted husband and father and a wonderful friend.

He was predeceased by his parents and siblings, his beloved wife Wilma Taylor Matchett, his sons Tommy Matchett, and Michael A. Matchett and his daughter Judy Legg.

He leaves behind his daughter Linda Miller, grandchildren Chad Matchett, Haley Lewandowski, Michael M. Matchett, Benjamin Matchett, Elijah Crane, Catherine Matchett, Shawn Foley, Jennifer Legg White, Jessica Legg, JT Dexter, Michelle Miller Muniz, Scott Miller, and Keith Miller, many great grandchildren as well as many friends and beloved extended family.

Visitation will be 1:00pm to 2:00pm on Wednesday March 1, 2023, at BRAZZEL/Oakcrest 1001 South Main Street Hope Arkansas 71801

Funeral service will be 2:00pm on Wednesday March 1, 2023, at Brazzel/Oakcrest with Bro. Nathaniel Crane officiating.
