Mr. Thomas Hugh "Tom" Blevins, 68 of Prescott, Arkansas passed away Sunday, March 28, 2010 at his home. Tom was born November 26, 1941 in Prescott, Arkansas to Raymond Hugh and Winnie McLelland Blevins. He had been a stationary engineer at hospitals for Mease in Dunedin, Florida and also in LaGrange, Illinois and was owner/operator of The Farm and Garden Store in Prescott, Arkansas. He was a member and Lay Leader for 15+ years at the First United Methodist Church, Prescott, Arkansas having served on various committees over the years. He had received the Paul Harris Fellow Award; past president of Prescott Rotary Club; a Mason and former chairman of the Republican Party. He loved to sing and raise his Emu Birds. He is now going to Leave the light on for all of us !! He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Jerry Wayne Blevins and his sister, Gloria Vernell "Nell" Blevins Flatt. Tom was a graduate of JTHS, class of 1960, in Joliet, Illinois and played in the Silvertones. After the blizzard of 1979, Toma and his family moved to and lived in Pinellas County, Florida until 1991, at which time Tom retired to Prescott, Arkansas. HIS SURVIVORS INCLUDE: His Wife of 20 years: Mary Alice Willwerth Blevins, Prescott, Ark. Four Sons: Craig Allen Blevins and Kim, Seminole, Florida. Kurt Austin Blevins (Franklin), Plantation, Florida. Paul Wesley Withers, Victoria, Texas. Abner Carr Withers, Bridgewater, New Jersey. Nine Grandchildren: Jonathan Thomas Blevins, Jeremy Patrick Blevins, Kenny Zambranna, Ben Zambranna, Emily Caroline Withers, Abner Carr Cubby Withers, III, Grace Elizabeth Withers, John Wesley Withers, and Nathan Paul Withers. Three Aunts and Uncles: Mary Ethel Harris, Prescott, Arkansas. Johnny McLelland, Houston, Texas. Lorene McLelland, Montana; Special Friend: Georgine Hellbert Blevins Needham; Favorite Nieces: Shelane Nunnery and Len; Amber Blevins; and Rachel Cowan and Doug; And other relatives and friends. THERE WILL BE A CELEBRATION OF LIFE SERVICE 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 31, 2010, at First United Methodist Church, Prescott, Arkansas, with Rev. Carlton Cross officiating.
