Mr. Thomas "Ticki" Walker, age 65 of Hope, passed away, Saturday, February 22 at his home. Ticki was born September 30, 1948 in Hope, Arkansas to Preston Eugene and Carrie Vella Ramsey Walker. He is retired from the Arkansas Highway Police with over 20 years of service and a member of New Hope Baptist Church in Hope. Ticki's children and grandchildren were the love of his life. He is preceded in death by his parents, a sister; Betty Bass and a brother; Larry Walker. Survivors include his devoted wife of 37 years; Becky Burke Walker of Hope, his son; Brother Jimmy Preston Walker, wife, Julie of Hope, his daughter; Keri Joann Shepherd, husband, Merritt of Hope, brother; Jack & Helen Walker of Ft. Worth, Texas, three sisters; Jerrye & Wrenford Cox and Sandra & Billy McBay all of Hope and Judy & Larrie Collier of Salem, Arkansas; six grandchildren; Judd, Adley, Breleigh, Nolan, Emory and Silas, two step-grandchildren; Haleigh and Madison Shepherd, many nieces, nephews other family members and friends. Visitation; 6:00 to 8:00pm, Monday, February 24, 2014 at Brazzel/Oakcrest The Funeral Home of Hope. Funeral services 10:00am, Tuesday, February 25 at Garrett Memorial Baptist Church in Hope, with Bro. Jimmy Walker and Bro. Neal Ridling officiating. Burial to follow in Holly Grove Cemetery at DeAnn.
