Mrs. Tresa Mathis, age 58 of Hope, passed away, Wednesday, June 17, 2015 in a local hospital. Mrs. Mathis was born July 21, 1956 in Hope, Arkansas to William Oliver Wilburn Jr. and Dorothy Mae Cook Wilburn. She was a homemaker and a member of Southside Missionary Baptist Church in Hope, Arkansas. Mrs. Mathis loved to quilt and to be with her family. She was a loving mother, sister, and grandmother. Mrs. Mathis is preceded in death by her father, her husband, Larry Mathis, and her twin Mathis daughters. Survivors include; her mother, Dorothy Wilburn of Hope, Arkansas, three daughters; Serina Norman, husband, Russell, of Hope, Arkansas, Donita Arnold, husband, Isac Golden, of Hope, Arkansas, Denise Fox, husband, Nelson, of Hope, Arkansas, three brothers; Dewayne and Troy Wilburn, both of Hope, Arkansas, David Wilburn of Patmos, Arkansas, two sister; Kathy Foster of Hope, Arkansas, Janet Hatfield of Washington, Arkansas, ten grandchildren, one great-granddaughter, and a host of other family members and friends. Visitation is 6:00-8:00pm, Friday, June 19, 2015 at Brazzel/Oakcrest Funeral Home in Hope. Graveside service is 10:00am, Saturday, June 20, 2015 at Evening Shade Cemetery in Hope, Arkansas, with Bro.
