Mrs. Veda Pauline McKenzie, 84 of Celina, Texas formerly of Prescott, Arkansas passed away, Friday, September 9, 2011. Mrs. McKenzie was born, Friday, April 15, 1927 in Nevada County, Arkansas to Harry Tracy and Lena Kimbrough Newton. She was a home maker and a Baptist. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, who passed away in 1991, Mr. Floyd J. McKenzie, seven brothers and one sister. Mrs. McKenzie is survived by: her son, James Paul Jim McKenzie and wife, Patty of McKinney, Texas, daughter, Bobbie Nell McKenzie of Lake Tawokoni, Texas, a brother; Boyce Newton of Mont clair, CA, sister, Edith Newton of Amity, AR, 4 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren other family members and friends. The McKenzie Family will receive friends, 6:00 to 8:00pm, Monday, September 12 at Brazzel/Cornish The Funeral Home of Prescott. Funeral service for Mrs. McKenzie will be, 10:00am, Tuesday, September 13, 2011 at the Brazzel/Cornish The Funeral Home Chapel in Prescott. Bro. Neil Ridling will officiate the service.
