Mrs. Velma F. Collins Brown, 91, of Spring Hill, Arkansas, passed away Monday, August 24, 2009, at Medical Park Hospital, Hope, Arkansas. She was born in Spring Hill, Ark. on October 18, 1917 to Jesse Carr and Emma Aline Turner Collins. She was a retired dairy farmer; a member of Spring Hill United Methodist Church, Spring Hill, Ark.;she loved quilting and keeping her great-grands and great-great-grands. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Vernon Brown; her daughter, Mirla Ann Brown Hamilton and Carl; one granddaughter, Dani L. Hamilton Elledge; one grandson, Thomas Kerry Hamilton; one brother, Thearl Collins; and one sister, Opal Collins Kidd. HER SURVIVORS INCLUDE: THREE GRANDSONS: Randy Hamilton, Spring Hill, Ark. Mack Hamilton, Spring Hill, Ark. Vernon Hamilton, Texarkana, Texas. ONE GRANDSON-IN-LAW: Richard Elledge, Spring Hill, Ark. And Numerous Great-Grandchildren, Great-Great-Grandchildren and other relatives and friends.
