Mrs. Veola Aaron, age 87, of Hope, Arkansas passed away, Monday, November 24, 2014, at Wentworth Place in Magnolia, Arkansas. Mrs. Aaron was born December 3, 1926, in Spring Hill, Arkansas to Allen and Lorena Plumley Burns. Mrs. Aaron was a homemaker and was a member of the Church of Christ. She was a very loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Mrs. Aaron was preceded in death by her parents, husband of 68 years, Starling Aaron, and brother Larry Lafferty. Mrs. Aaron is survived by her sons, Joe Aaron and wife Hilda of Houston, Texas, Gary Aaron and wife Cathy of Hope, Phillip Aaron and wife Imelda of Galveston, Texas, Bobby Aaron and wife Adonia of Hope and Richard Aaron and wife Katrina of Houston, Texas, daughter Nancy Bailey and husband Steve of Magnolia, Arkansas, brothers, Gilbert Lafferty of Texarkana, Texas, Bryant Lafferty of Hope, and Jimmy Glen Lafferty of Texas City, Texas, sister, Diva Thomas of Texarkana, Arkansas, 12 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation for Mrs. Aaron will be 1:00 to 2:00pm, Friday, November 28, 2014, at Central Church of Christ in Hope. Funeral service will be 2:00pm, Friday, November 28, 2014, at Central Church of Christ in Hope with Mr. Harold Freeman officiating burial will follow in Central Cemetery in Hope.
