Obituary

Mr. Vergil Lee Jackson, age 89, of Willisville, Arkansas, passed away on Monday, January 24, 2011. He was born in Rosston, Arkansas, on November 28, 1921, to Henry Bunyon and Ida Leona Pinkerton Jackson. He was a Machine Tender at IP in Camden, Arkansas, a veteran of World War II where he was the awarded Four Bronze Stars, for Campaigns in Normandy, Northern France, Rhineland and Central Europe and member of the Willisville United Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother Clarence Jackson; one sister Flora Mae West and one granddaughter Toni Angelene Twite. His Survivors Include: His wife Emma Jean Stout Jackson, Willisville, Arkansas. One Son: Tim Jackson and Phyllis, Rosston, Arkansas. One Daughter: Carol Burns and Dennis, Siloam Springs, Arkansas. One Granddaughter: Deana Carol Smedlund, Bentonville, Arkansas. Three Great-Grandchildren: Kayla Angelene Daniell; Joseph Aaron Daniell and Eric Michael Smedlund. And other relatives and friends. Funeral Services will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, January 27, 2011, at Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home Chapel, Prescott, Arkansas, with Rev. Jerry G. Westmoreland officiating. Interment Services will be 2:00 p.m. at Lakeside Cemetery, East Camden, Arkansas. Arrangements by Brazzel/Cornish The Funeral Home, Prescott, Arkansas. Family will Receive Friends on Wednesday, January 26, 2011, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Brazzel/Cornish The Funeral Home, Prescott, Arkansas.
