Obituary

Mrs. Versie Brewer, age 82, of Prescott, passed away Saturday, August 29, 2015, in Hope, Arkansas. Versie (Wright) Brewer was born on May 25, 1933 in Arkansas to the proud parents, John Wright and Victoria Hardy. Versie graduated from Wrightsville High School in 1952. After working several jobs she decided to move to California, where she met and married Lecester Brewer. From that union six beautiful girls were born. Lecester passed in 1968, leaving Versie to raise five girls on her own, and what a wonderful job she did. After raising her daughters, she went back to school. Versie attended Merritt College Nursing Program. After graduating, Versie worked 20 years in the nursing field. She retired at the age of 65. She moved to Arkansas where she lived a life of luxury, traveling, fishing and watching Judge Mathis, and enjoying her children and grandchildren. Versie was preceded in death by her parents; John and Victoria Wright, her daughters; Alisa in 1962 and Jacqueline in 2015, and her brothers; James, Willy, Richard and Bennie Lee, and her sisters; Bernice, Mozell and sister-in-law, Madie.
