Victor Aubrey Campbell, age 80, of Perrytown, Arkansas, went to be with the lord Monday October 15, 2012. He was born September 19, 1932, to Victor Campbell and Marie Campbell Baker. He was a member of Unity Baptist Church in Hope. Preceding him in death were his parents, a son, Jeffrey Campbell and sister Opal Beshea. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Wanda Campbell, a son Steve Campbell, a brother Billy Pat Campbell of Arlington, Texas, many relatives and lots of friends. Victor was a Veteran of the Korean War and served from 1950 to 1953. After his discharge from service, he went to work for Cobb Radio and T. V. He was there for 22 years as an electronics technician, then bought the business from Mr. Cobb and stayed until he retired. After his retirement he suffered a spinal cord injury, which left him a paraplegic for 24 years. Through his strong faith in God, and his supportive family and friends, he continued to live a good life, all though in pain a lot and in a wheel chair, he didnt have any bitterness but kept his great sense of humor and a positive attitude. He was an inspiration to all who knew him. We do not grieve, but celebrate the life of a good man. Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 pm, Tuesday, October 16 at Brazzel/Oakcrest The Funeral Home of Hope. Funeral service for Mr. Campbell will be 2:00 pm, Wednesday, October 17, at the Brazzel/Oakcrest Chapel, Bro Harley Sisson and Bro Wayne Johnson officiating.
