Virgie Johnson, age 96, of Prescott, passed away on Tuesday January 7, 2025, in Prescott, Arkansas. Mrs. Johnson was born on August 18, 1928, in Harvey, Arkansas. She was a homemaker and a retiree of Firestone and a member of Central Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her husband, Willie Johnson, two sons Johnny Johnson and Garold Johnson, one granddaughter Tiffany Cookus of Bryant, Arkansas.

Survivors include one son Jimmy Johnson of Alexander, Arkansas, one daughter in law Lori Johnson, one granddaughter Teena Johnson of Sherwood, Arkansas, step grandson Justin (Samantha) Jernigan of Texarkana, Arkansas, two great grandsons Blanton and Zackery Cookus of Bryant, Arkansas, and a number of nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.

Visitation will be held on Sunday January 12, 2025, from 1:00 -2:00 pm at Brazzel Cornish Chapel. Funeral service will begin Sunday January 12, 2025, at 2:00 pm in the Chapel with Bro. Jerry Westmoreland officiating. Burial will follow in DeAnn Cemetery.
