Mr. Wallace Stewart, age 78, of Hope, Arkansas formerly of Emmet passed away Friday June 6, 2014, at his home. He was born August 5, 1935, in Hempstead County, Arkansas to Elmer and Eunice Mae Wilson Stewart. Mr. Stewart was a retired gravedigger for The Brazzel Funeral Homes and was a member of the Church of Christ and served in the United States Army. He was a loving husband and father, his favorite hobbies were deer hunting and fishing, but most of all he loved spending time with his grandchildren. Mr. Stewart was preceded in death by his parents, wife Lily Dougan Stewart, brothers, W.A., Alvin, and John T., Stewart, sister, Barbara Nell Ayers. Mr. Stewart is survived by his daughters, Sheila Tippitt and husband Howard of Hope, Arkansas and Margaret Collums and husband Glenn of Hope, Arkansas, grandchildren, Stephanie Gammage, Justin Cox, Amber Collums, Ashley Collums, Tennille Michel and Kristen Tippitt and by Twelve Great- Grandchildren. In Lieu flowers donations may be made to Hempstead County Relay for life and Cancer Society. Visitation for Mr. Stewart will be 6:00 to 8:00pm, Saturday, June 7, 2014, at Brazzel/Oakcrest Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be 2:00pm, Sunday, June 8, 2014, at Brazzel/Oakcrest Chapel with Mr. Harold Freeman and Bro. Ricky Burke officiating, burial will follow in the Snell Cemetery in Emmet, Arkansas.
