Wanda Lee Bynum Franklin, age 84, passed away Thursday, June 22, 2023 at her home.  She was born January 4, 1939 in Craighead County, Arkansas to William Curtis and Geraldine McDougald Bynum.

She taught music for many years and loved playing the piano and singing at Friendship Church in McCaskill.

She was preceded in death by her mother and father; daughter, Tammy Wakefield; brother, Dale Bynum; sister-in-law, Maxine Franklin; and brothers-in-law, Howard, Willis, and Billy Franklin.

Left to cherish her memory is her loving husband, Chip Franklin; daughters, Gina Dante and Cinda Hegi (Todd); son-in-law Tim Wakefield; sister, Jerri McLarty; grandchildren, Chris Wakefield (Monica),  Bo Hegi (Brittiny), Chantele Danker (Garrett); great-grandchildren, Levi Wakefield, Evelyn Danker, Theodore Danker, Aria Hegi, Alani Hegi, and Alexander Hegi; sisters-in-law, Andrea Franklin, Louise Franklin, Paula Bynum, Anita Laureles; nieces and nephews, Michael Bynum, Melinda Bynum, Rene Brickell (Mike), Viki Jones (Darren), Lori Johnson, Natalie Bozier (Simon), Beverly Hicks (Danny), Michael Franklin (Nancy), Jennifer Matthews (Corey), Natalie Wagner (Daniel); many great nieces, nephews and friends.

Visitation will be held Sunday, June 25, 2023 from 1:00PM till 2:00PM at Brazzel-Oakcrest Funeral Home in Hope. Service will follow at 2:00PM in The Brazzel-Oakcrest Chapel with Rev.
