Mrs. Wanda Lee East, 79, of Hope, Arkansas passed away Monday, July 7, 2008 in a Texarkana Hospital. She was born August 24, 1927, in DeAnn, Ark. to Sidney Jefferson and Cora L. Willis Burke. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clifton Charlie East and one daughter, Patricia Ann East Volentine. She was Survived by: One Son: Curtis East, Hope, Arkansas; One Daughter and Son-In-Law: Nancy Barton and Sammy, Lewisville, Ark.; One Sister, Charlene Reeves, Nashville, Ark.; Five Grandchildren: Tracy Canning and Jeremy, Texarkana, Ark., Tyler Barton and Lindsey, Buckner, Ark., Kathleen Minton and Jason, Story, Ark., Alisha Nipper and Troy, Texarkana, TX, and Daniel Barton, Lewisville, Ark.; and One Great-Grandchild: Teyton Barton, Buckner, Arkansas. Wanda was the much loved Aunt of many nieces and nephews and friends. She was a member of Southside Baptist Church, Hope, Ark. Wanda dedicated her life to her family and the Lord. Wanda was the longtime owner of Wandas Grocery in Hope, Ark., which she loved operating and taking care of HER customers. Funeral Services will be 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, July 9, 2008, Brazzel/Oakcrest Funeral Home Chapel, Hope, Arkansas, with Rev. Dwayne Parish and Rev. Mark Faulkner officiating. Burial to follow in Shover Springs Cemetery, Shover Springs, Ark. Arrangements by Brazzel/Oakcrest Funeral Home, Hope, Ark. Visitation: Tuesday, July 8, 2008, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Brazzel/Oakcrest Funeral Home, Hope. The family will be at her home.
