Mrs. Wanda Ward, age 79, of Hope Arkansas, entered the gates of heaven on Friday, May 13, 2022, Wanda was born October 20, 1942 to H.W. and Lorene Walsh Youngblood. Wanda retired from First National Bank in Hope where she was a branch manager.
She was an avid fan of the Arkansas Razorbacks and Elvis. She enjoyed watching all SEC games and at one time was attending all SEC conference basketball tournaments with her daughter, Deana, and her dear friends, Dorothy Ford and June Stroud. Wanda also enjoyed any sport or activity her children and grandchildren were involved in.
Wanda is survived by her three children Julie (Mark)Smither, Steve (Mary Anne) Ward and Deana Ward a ll of Hope, Grandchildren April Smith of Vilonia AR., Brandon (Evelyn)Smither of Boston MA, Rebecca Ward of Texarkana, Ashley (Ashley)Fatheree of Hope, Troy (Kiersten)Ward of Kirby, AR Summer Wylie of Texarkana, Maegan Ward of Texarkana. Great Grandchildren: Michael Martin, Claire Smith, Abel Ward, and Cheyanne Baker. She is also survived by a sister-in-law Pat Youngblood of Lefors, TX and a host of nephews and nieces with a special nephew, Mike Bowden.
Wanda is proceeded in death by her parents, a brother: H.W. Youngblood JR, a sister: Betty Dewees, special nephew: Bill Dewees and Skipper Youngblood.
Visitation will be Sunday May 15, 2022 from 2:00pm-4:00pm at Brazzel Oakcrest Funeral Home in Hope. Graveside service will be Monday May 16, 2022 10:00am at Memory Gardens Cemetery with Bro. Larry Brown officiating. Burial will follow. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of BRAZZEL/Oakcrest The Funeral Home of Hope, Eddie Brazzel Director. The family would like to thank Debbie Putman for not only weekly hair visits but for being a special friend to Wanda.
