Mrs. Wanda Amelia Woodruff, age 92, of Hope, Arkansas, formally of Harrison, Arkansas, passed away, Tuesday, November 11, 2014, at Wadley Regional Medical Center in Hope. She was born January 27, 1922, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa to Carl and Clara Sherman Madson. Mrs. Woodruff was Methodist, homemaker and served as a Navy Wave for 4 years. She was a loving devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Mrs. Woodruff worked for the United States Pentagon during WWII war time. She was very active in Women's Auxiliary in American Legion Post 44 Allen-McKinney in Harrison, Arkansas. Mrs. Woodruff was preceded in death by her parents, husband of 48 years, Noel L. Woodruff and sisters, Lucille Willard and Margurite "Marge" Wise. Mrs. Woodruff is survived by her son Glenn Woodruff and wife Tammy of Hope, Arkansas and granddaughter, Jillian Woodruff. Visitation for Mrs. Woodruff will be 6:00 to 8:00pm, Thursday, November 13, 2014, at Brazzel/Oakcrest Funeral Home in Hope. Graveside service will be 2:00pm, Friday, November 14, 2014, at Jasper Cemetery in Jasper, Arkansas with Bro. Hal Dixon officiating.
