JEFFERIES, WILLIAM EARL LIGHTENING BILL Bill Jefferies, 72, beloved bell ringer for the Salvation Army, died Monday, Jan. 21, 2008 in Dallas. He was born May 7, 1935, in Hemingford, Nebraska, to the late Ivan and Hazel Jefferies. Bill served his country in both the United States Army and Marines. He loved the Dallas Arts, especially opera, symphony and theatre. A vagabond and wanderer, when Bill found Dallas he found home. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister, Raymond and George Jefferies and Anna McDonald. Bill is survived by three daughters, Abbie, Selena and Jossi; brother, Ronald Jefferies; Hope, Ark. sister, Eula Landis; five grandchildren; and host of friends. Visitation: 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 27th at North Dallas Funeral Home, 2710 Valley View Lane. Funeral Service: 1 p.m. Monday, Jan. 28th at Lovers Lane United Methodist Church, 9200 Inwood Road, Dallas.
