Mr. William M. "Bill" Jones, 84, of Hope, Arkansas, passed away Sunday, November 30, 2008, at his home. He was born March 8, 1924, in Nevada County, Arkansas, to Lee and Sally Jones. He was retired, in 1985, from Texas Eastern Corporation after 30+ years. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Hope and the Mens Sunday School Class, taught by Dr. Ed Claybrook; a member of the Nailbenders for Jesus and an Army Veteran of World War II. He loved his church and watching his family grow. Together he and his wife had enjoyed the traveling and the fellowship of the Nailbenders while building churches for God. In August 2003, he was named Man Of The Year with the Nailbenders For Jesus. These experiences will always hold such special memories. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers. Four Grandchildren: Trent Jones, Hot Springs Village, Ark. Jenee Clayton and Jamie, Texarkana, Ark. Meredith McMahon, Tulsa, Okla. Michael McMahon, OBU Seminary Student, Shawnee, Okla. Four Great-Grandchildren: Trace, Marcie, Faith and Cole. FUNERAL SERVICES will be 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 3, 2008, First Baptist Church, Hope, Ark., with Rev. Earl Cumbie, Dr. Ed Claybrook and Dr. Mark Fischer officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Gardens Cemetery, Hope. Arrangements by Brazzel/Oakcrest Funeral Home, Hope.
