Obituary

Mr. William "Bill" Lamar Palmer, 85, of Gurdon, Arkansas, passed away Tuesday, January 20, 2009, in Baptist Medical Center, Little Rock, Arkansas. He was born on January 14, 1924 in Amity, Arkansas, to Bryon and Charlie Mae Lintz Palmer. He was a owner/operator of Palmers Service Station in Gurdon for 34 years. He was a member of First United Methodist Church of Gurdon, Arkansas and an avid fisherman, hunter and a baseball coach for years. He was preceded in death by his parents. HIS SURVIVORS INCLUDE: HIS WIFE: (of 60 years) Flo Keiper Palmer, Gurdon, Arkansas. ONE SON: Jerry Palmer and Carline, Gurdon, Arkansas. ONE DAUGHTER: Judy Hittenrauch and Eric, Gurdon, Ark. THREE GRANDCHILDREN: Holly Pridgen and Russell, Benton, Ark. Rusty Freeman and Ashley, Conway, Ark. Brian Hittenrauch, Gurdon, Ark. TWO GREAT-GRANDCHILDREN: Brooke Watson and Morgan Watson, both of Gurdon, Ark. The HONORARY PALLBEARERS are the Mens Bible Class of the First United Methodist Church of Gurdon, Arkansas. FUNERAL SERVICE WILL BE 2:00 p.m., Thursday, January 22, 2009, at First United Methodist Church, Gurdon, Ark., with Rev. Rusty Jones and Rev. Greg Burkes officiating. Burial to follow in Rest Haven Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Arkadelphia, Ark. Arrangements by Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home, Prescott, Ark. FAMILY WILL RECEIVE FRIENDS: Wednesday, January 21, 2009, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., at First United Methodist Church, Gurdon, Ark.
