For Ben L. Brazzel, funeral service is more than a career – it is a lifelong calling. A lifelong resident of the area and a 1993 graduate of Hope High School, Ben earned his professional credentials at the Dallas Institute of Funeral Service in 1996.
Today, as the owner of Brazzel Funeral Homes in Hope and Prescott, Arkansas, he brings more than three decades of expertise and compassion to the families of Southwest Arkansas. He is honored to continue the legacy of his parents, Janie Brazzel, and the late Eddie Brazzel.
Ben’s greatest pride, however, is his family. He shares his life with his wife, Tiffany Schooley Brazzel, and daughter, Ellie Ruth Brazzel. Through his work and his family, he remains committed to the values of home, heritage, and heart.

Sarai Reed
General Manager- Funeral Director-Embalmer
Sarai Reed is a lifelong resident of Hope, Arkansas, and serves as General Manager of Brazzel Funeral Homes. She is a 2014 graduate of Spring Hill High School and earned her Associate of Applied Science in Funeral Service from the University of Arkansas Hope-Texarkana in 2020.
Sarai is a licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer in both Arkansas and Texas and is also a licensed Pre-Arrangement Agent. With seven years of experience in funeral service, she has built her career around caring for families with compassion, professionalism, and respect.
In her role as General Manager, Sarai oversees the day-to-day operations of Brazzel Funeral Homes in Hope and Prescott while remaining actively involved in serving families throughout every aspect of the funeral process. From making arrangements and assisting families with pre-planning to directing services and providing support during difficult times, she believes in being personally present for the families entrusted to their care.
Having been born and raised in the community she now serves, Sarai has a deep appreciation for the relationships and trust that are at the heart of funeral service. She considers it a privilege to serve families in Hope, Prescott, and the surrounding communities and is committed to carrying forward the compassionate, personal service that has long been a part of Brazzel Funeral Homes.
Outside of the funeral home, Sarai is a member of Bethany Baptist Church in Spring Hill and the proud mother of two daughters. Much of her time away from work is spent with her family and supporting her girls in their activities, especially livestock shows.
For Sarai, funeral service is more than a profession—it is an opportunity to serve her community, care for people when they need it most, and help families honor the lives of those they love with dignity and compassion.

Tim Dickerson
Assistant Manager
Tim Dickerson is a lifelong resident of Okolona, Arkansas, and serves as Assistant Manager of Brazzel Funeral Homes. He is a 1984 graduate of Gurdon High School and brings many years of experience in cemetery and funeral home service to his role.
Throughout his career, Tim has developed a strong understanding of the importance of caring for families with dignity, respect, and compassion. As Assistant Manager, he helps oversee the daily operations of Brazzel Funeral Homes while working alongside the staff to ensure families receive the personal and professional care they deserve.
Tim attends Calvary Ministries in Prescott and is the proud father of two daughters and one son, as well as the proud grandfather of two granddaughters.
Tim considers it an honor to serve families throughout Prescott, Hope, and the surrounding communities. His years of experience and commitment to helping others make him an important part of the Brazzel Funeral Homes team.

LaJuanna Ray is a native of Hope, Arkansas, and serves as Administrative Assistant at Brazzel Funeral Homes. A 1971 graduate of Hope High School, LaJuanna has deep roots in the community and a genuine love for the people who call it home.
In her role at Brazzel Funeral Homes, LaJuanna helps support the daily operations of the funeral home and assists both staff and families with warmth, kindness, and attention to detail. Her friendly presence and willingness to help wherever needed make her a valued part of the Brazzel Funeral Homes family.
LaJuanna is a member of Providence Missionary Baptist Church. She is the proud mother of two children, William Rowe and LaDonna Walden, and values the time she spends with her family.

Rodney Buttrum
Apprentice Funeral Director
Rodney Buttrum serves as Assistant Funeral Director at Brazzel Funeral Homes. Although newer to the Hope and Prescott communities, Rodney has been involved in funeral service since 2021, beginning his career as a removal technician.
Through his experience in funeral service, Rodney discovered a sense of purpose in caring for others during some of life's most difficult moments. That calling led him to continue his education, and he is currently pursuing a degree in Funeral Directing and Embalming as he works toward furthering his career in the profession.
At Brazzel Funeral Homes, Rodney assists with many aspects of serving families and takes pride in providing compassionate, respectful care to each person who walks through the doors. He understands that even the smallest acts of kindness can make a meaningful difference to a family experiencing loss.
